Cocoa Beach, Florida Spring Break – Krugers Gone Wild!

After a three-hour nap this afternoon, the kids and I walked along the shore – stepping carefully to avoid the numerous shell fragments. We watched a Disney Cruise depart and then returned to our motel for a dinner of peanut butter and crackers. We had flown from Denver to Orlando on Thursday, taking a taxi to Cocoa Beach, and will return this coming Thursday. We are visiting Wayne’s parents and sisters whom we haven’t seen in a few years. Today Anne, Leo, and Mary met us at a restaurant on the pier by our motel where we ate tasty, locally-caught seafood and watched the surfers out the window. Tomorrow we’ll visit a nature preserve.

"I'm so excited that we're flying to Orlando!"

Laurel thought these dirtier-looking pelicans a littler further down the pier looked like chimney sweeps. She sang, "Step in time! Step in time! Never need a reason, never need a rhyme!" (We recently watched Mary Poppins.)

Laurel has enjoyed going through Grandma & Grandpa's extensive record collection and then actually listening to some of the records. Laurel had never before heard a record. Mary & Lynn said the records that Laurel liked (pictured) had all belonged to Wayne. So they have the same musical taste!
