Late yesterday afternoon we walked to Queen Elizabeth Park – an enormous, gorgeous place with flowering trees, forests, a conservatory, tennis and basketball courts, a dog park, fountains, and amazing views. We came upon a large restaurant, Seasons, at the top of a hill and decided to eat dinner there. What a treat!
We found out late this morning that there’s a winter farmers market near QE Park on Saturday mornings through the end of April. So we missed it today, but we’ll have to go next week. Then the regular season farmers markets start all over the city in May and June and go through October. When I was looking up this information online, I found the Vancouver Farmers Market website, eatlocal.org. Their motto – stated at the top of the page – is: “You are what you eat. Prepare to meet your Maker.” Isn’t that clever?
Great pics! Hi to all 🙂
