Jane picked us up at Mom’s house this morning and drove us to the Dayton airport. Unlike what would have happened if I were responsible for getting us to the airport, we actually arrived early and are waiting to leave on a 10:18 am flight. And Jane, you were right, our tiny plane is too small for our carry-on bags, so they’re being gate checked.
There’s a good wifi connection here, so I’ve uploaded pics from the past few days.
We walked at Sharon Woods with Becky and Connor on Wednesday. It’s a beautiful park, but the air was like a sauna.
Thursday we visited Cindy, Tim, and Autumn. When we drove to Ohio two years ago, Autumn was a newborn; and we hadn’t seen her since.
Friday we went to Sheri’s house and caught up some more with old friends. The kids played in the woods behind her house until dark.
On Saturday Amy, Ron, and Allene came over; and we said farewell to the car (and the people).
We’ll have a 2.5-hour layover in Detroit, and then it’s on to Boston for four nights!
