My sister Maureen e-mailed Laurel an Amazon gift card for Laurel’s June birthday. Laurel bought yarn and needles and learned to knit by reading some online instructions. She intended to make a scarf but made it too wide, so she called it a “thneed” from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. She recently finished it and gave it to Grandma. Here she demonstrates its many possibilities.
